Seattle’s Eritrean & Ethiopian Restaurant, Deli, & Sweet Shop
Hello Habesha Cafe
Goodbye Amy’s Merkato
A New Name Has Old Roots!
When we purchased a Madrona Ethiopian market from Amy back 2000, we had no idea we’d later become a restaurant in Hillman City!
Always our first priority is to our customers—and the best way to serve our customers is to be an Eritrean and Ethiopian restaurant. This is what’s in our hearts. Our new name is our way to share our culture with this wonderful city that has embraced us.
Thank you for being with us these past 22 years—and now into to the future.
A Community & Family-Friendly Restaurant
A Restaurant, a Deli, and a Cafe—Habesha Cafe of Seattle’s Hillman City welcomes you to a community and family-friendly environment.
Tradition and Imagination
Traditions delight with deliciously authentic Eritrean, Ethiopian, and Mediterranean recipes—all inspired by generations of home cooking. Imaginations bloom with chef specialties, and our generous selection of deli sandwiches. See our online menu.
Bringing our restaurant and cafe under one sweet umbrella, a variety of desserts and pastries are here for you—at Habesha Cafe.
And you must try our house-roasted coffee.
